My Favorite Healthy Breakfast Without Eggs
As a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, I always recommend including good protein in your breakfast and as little sugar as possible to stabilize blood sugar, have lasting energy until your next meal, and of course to keep you satiated. So if a recipe below doesn’t automatically include protein, be sure to add some on the side. Some great options are any of my breakfast sausages, bacon, Proscuitto, or wild smoked salmon which are quick and easy! Or simply add protein powder with water or your choice of milk for a shake to drink along with it.
Substituting egg doesn’t mean substituting fun! I’ve rounded up some of my favorite gluten-free egg-free breakfast recipes, most are also Paleo and AIP-friendly, too!

15 Egg Free Breakfast Ideas (with protein): Blueberry Bone Broth Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1 cup bone broth chicken or turkey
- 1/2-1 cup frozen cauliflower rice
- 1 scoop vanilla/neutral protein powder
- 1/3 cup frozen blueberries
- 1 heaping tablespoon cashew butter or nut/seed/coconut butter of choice
- 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
Instructions:
- Blend all ingredients together, adjust the liquid as you’d like.
Notes:
- Swap nut/seed kinds of butter for coconut oil/butter, my toasted coconut butter, or avocado.
- Use AIP-friendly protein.
- Use cinnamon in place of cardamom.
- If the cauliflower rice doesn’t agree with you, try pre-steaming it and freezing it in advance.
- Add toppings like seeds, nuts, or coconut shavings to chew before you start drinking to start the digestive process.

Hi, I’m looking at the Ancient Nutrition plain bone broth powder and it has 22 g of protein, I’m wanting to use this as it would be cheaper than buying the liquid broth. Also, you’re recommending add protein powder along with the liquid broth? Thank you.
