Paleo Blueberry Cardamom Smoothie with Bone Broth

This Blueberry Cardamom Bone Broth Smoothie is amazing, not only because of its fabulous vibrant purple coloring (thank you blueberries!) but also because it contains so many minerals, vitamins, and protein that will keep you satiated for longer.

While smoothies are a tasty way to incorporate more fruit and veg into your daily diet, this can often also result in adding too much unwanted sugar as well. Fear not! Can you use bone broth in smoothies?

Bone broth is often associated with hearty soups and stews in the cooler seasons, but it is an amazing ingredient to use in drinks and smoothies throughout the year! I love using it in other kinds of foods because the flavors are not overpowering and the health benefits are awesome.just be sure to use chicken/turkey bone broth thats more mild in taste for a smoothie. Digestion Tips

  • If the cauliflower rice doesn’t agree with you, try pre-steaming it and freezing in advance.
  • Add toppings like seeds, nuts, or coconut shavings to chew before you start drinking to start the digestive process.

Cook Time: 2 minutes
Total Time: 4 minutes

Ingredients

Instructions:

  • Blend all ingredients together, adjust the liquid as you’d like.

Notes:

To make it AIP:
  • Swap nut/seed kinds of butter for coconut oil/butter, my toasted coconut butter, or avocado.
  • Use AIP-friendly protein.
  • Use cinnamon in place of cardamom.
Tips:
