What’s Inside: An easy, flavorful mocktail combining pomegranate, orange, and lemon juices that pack a punch! The salty rim makes it even more fun for a sweet and salty non-alcoholic cocktail you’ll love to say “cheers” with.
Knowing that pomegranates are lucky for New Year, I threw this deliciously easy non-alcoholic mocktail together centered around pomegranate juice on a whim on New Year’s Eve. But, we should honestly enjoy pomegranates in all forms year-round or at least while in season in the winter because of their many health benefits.
You likely have all the ingredients of this simple pomegranate punch mocktail in your fridge, they’re staples! And together make a fabulous bevy that will have your immunity boosted and feel just as fun as any cocktail without the hangover and flare-ups. Sign me up!

Did you know? According to Tastemade: In countries like Turkey and Greece, pomegranates are cherished tokens of good luck and have been for centuries, maybe even millennia. With the color of a vibrant human heart, symbolizing life and fertility, and plentiful seeds, representing prosperity, a pomegranate has everything there for a fresh start.
Pomegranates juice is packed with antioxidants (stemming from that gorgeous red coloring, the polyphenols) as well as vitamin C. In fact, a serving has about 40% of your daily vitamin C. Folate, vitamin E, K, and potassium are also found in this super fruit.
tip! Not only are pomegranates packed with nutrients, they’re also known to reduce inflammation in the gut and support healthy digestion.
There are studies on pomegranates aiding in numerous health conditions such as Crohn’s and IBS, Heart Disease, Alzheimer’s, and certain cancers. Consuming pomegranate juice regularly may also reduce blood pressure and has anti-viral properties! So taking a shot to boost immunity could be a great practice to check with your practitioner about (to ensure it doesn’t interfere with any meds).(source)
Of course, the orange and lemon juices are also lovely additions for even more vitamin C. This is a drink you can feel really good about toasting to your health with on any occasion (or literally just a thirsty Thursday – it’s always happy hour somewhere, am I right?)
And let’s talk about this salty rim, shall we? You can use a good sea salt which I always have on hand, and you’ll have plenty of natural minerals with a salty flavor to balance out the sweetness and tanginess of the pomegranates and citrus… but I went EXTRA with this one. I used a salty electrolyte mix I absolutely love which happens to be orange flavored and BOOM was it extra flavorful. Magnesium and potassium are key minerals for so many mechanisms in our bodies and I’ll never skip out on a chance to sprinkle a little extra!
I used the rest of the packet in a large 16 oz water bottle throughout the day.
These few but mighty ingredients pack a punch of vitamins and minerals. Unlike a cocktail… thus mocktail is LIFE-giving. Pop that pinky when you raise this glass, friend. It’s as functional as it is flavorful.
