Mocktails do not have to be boring or full of sugar… they can be just as awesome as the real deal. These Nettle Tea Mojitos prove that! Packed full of delicious mojito goodness with the addition of super herbal healing power – I’ll cheers to that!
I’ve been off alcohol for 9 months now (and no I’m not pregnant!)… it’s been amazing to help me heal my digestion and inflammation. However, that’s not to say it’s always been easy or that I haven’t been tempted to get down with a glass of rosé with my girlfriends especially in the summer when everyone is extra social! But I’ve stayed away, because feeling ill for days and setting myself back is not something I want to do at this point. So what’s a girl to do? NETTLE TEA MOJITOS!!
After learning a lot more about the healing powers of herbs, Stinging Nettle became a favorite. There are just so many benefits it’s hard not to try it. That aside, I don’t *love* the taste of it, so I was challenged with finding a way to still enjoy it. When I was craving a mocktail a few weekends ago… I was poking around for ingredients and VOILA – it hit me, “let’s get some super herbal power in this bad boy”, is what I believe I said to myself hahaha… and so it was, a new mocktail was born.
And now? Well now, it’s MY FAVORITE.
I like using this brand for it’s potency. And if you’re itching to try this before your box of nettle arrives… might I suggest chamomile or hibiscus tea? You can’t lose with tossing a favorite tea in a mojito as I’ve learned!

Mocktails don't need to be boring or full of sugar to taste delicious and make you feel amazing. And doing it with a super herb like Nettle makes this drink as functional as it is delicious! Cheers!
- 1 lime
- 1/2 cup hot water
- 2 Nettle Tea Bags
- 1/2 tsp raw honey
- 1 cup crushed ice
- 1/2 cup sparkling water or cold water
- 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves (plus more for garnish)
Brew tea all together with the 1/2 cup hot water and 2 tea bags in a cup according to directions on the package (approx. 5 mins).
To your cocktail glasses, split the tea in half, pouring in each glass. Add 1/4 tsp of raw honey to each glass and stir to dissolve in the hot water.
Next, squeeze half a lime in each glass and stir.
Tear mint leaves up by hand a bit to release some of the oils and divide evenly amongst glasses, muddle with a spoon in the bottom of the glass.
Now add your crushed ice, followed by your sparkling or cold water to fill to the top with.
Garnish with whole mint leaves and serve!
