I cannot wait for spring!! We have been getting hit non stop with snow in NYC, probably not as bad as last year and certainly not as bad as some neighboring states… but enough to make me stir crazy. Don’t get me wrong, I do love being a hermit in the winter and cooking, cleaning and relaxing all weekend-long with the occasional brunch, but I could do without all the ice and frigid temperatures and I do miss being able to stand outside for more than 10 minutes! So, all in all, it’s been real, Winter — I’m ready for the next step though. March is usually a compilation of weird winter weather meeting weird spring weather… so it’s anyone’s guess what this month will bring but we are one step closer! Winter squash season is pretty much at a close though… so my first recipe will be a good-bye with a bang 😉
