Finger foods, anyone? I love a good slider and these are so flavorful, you’ll devour them! I whipped them up for U.S. Wellness Meats, a great source to find grass-fed & finished, organic meat, seafood, cooking fats, and much more. And I was honored to recently be their Featured Chef!!

An easy, flavorful Greek-inspired turkey slider recipe featuring Kalamata olives and Avocado Tzatziki to take bland ground turkey to flavor-town! Use my AIP English Muffin as buns or use a lettuce wrap and serve along side crispy baked carrot fries.
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 35 minutes
Total Time: 50 minutes
Yield: 4

Ingredients

Sliders:

  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 1/3 cup kalamata olives roughly chopped
  • 2 Tbsp red onion chopped
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

Avocado Tzatziki:

  • 1 small ripe avocado mashed
  • 1/2 English cucumber seeded, grated
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp chopped fresh dill or 1Tbsp dried dill
  • salt and pepper to taste

Toppings Shown:

  • Lettuce
  • Sliced red onion
  • Kalamata olives

Carrot Fries:

  • 1 Tbsp melted duck fat
  • 4-8 large carrots
  • pinch of sea salt

Instructions:

  • First, make the avocado tzatziki. Prepare the cucumber by grating and adding to a towel-lined corander with approx. 1/2 tsp salt so the water can release and drain out for approx. 15 minutes. Ring out the excess liquid from cucumber using the towel or a fresh towel until it's dry. Add it in with the other tzatziki ingredients in a food processor or mix by hand and store in the fridge, covered in an airtight container until you're ready to use It.
  • Prep carrot fries by cutting carrots into matchstick size and roast on a parchment-lined baking sheet on 400f degrees after tossing with duck fat and sea salt. Cook for 25-30 minutes while doing the rest below.
  • Make AIP English Muffins (link below) and set aside if using, or ready your butter lettuce or sweet potato rounds to make it Whole30!
  • Season the ground turkey with all slider ingredients listed.
  • Shape the meat into 1/2 inch thick sliders (small enough to fit your buns/English muffins if using)
  • Heat a cast iron pan over medium-high and lightly grease with coconut oil. Cook the slides for approx. 5 minutes on each side (cook thoroughly for poultry).
  • Build your burger with the Avocado Tzatziki and your favorite toppings. Serve alongside your carrot fries.

  1. This looks so delicious! Sorry if I am missing something, but I just see a step to make the avocado tzatsiki, but no instructions for how to make it. Are those in this recipe or somewhere else? Thanks!
