This tropical guacamole is made with just 5 ingredients that even the most sensitive stomachs will be happy with!
After trial and error, I’ve done the research and testing and found an easy Paleo Flour Blend to use 1:1 in place of traditional/wheat flour in: cakes, cookies, and MUFFINS! I’ve also tried out a tree nut free option that works amazingly well too. Check out this simple blend I love by A Calculated Whisk, what adaptations can be made, and the classic (made paleo) Blueberry Muffins I made!
The squash used in these brownies creates a chewy, fudgy center with a crisp top and adds a touch of natural sweetness. The additional sweetener helps to enhance and bring out more of the natural squash’s sweet taste, cutting the need for sugar/sweeteners substantially. The result is a moist, chewy brownie you can feel good about snacking on!
These cookies are an update to my previous recipe for Pumpkin & Hemp Oatmeal Cookies! This time they’re totally grain-free and contain slightly less sweetener, perfect for breakfast or tea time. The pumpkin puree holds them together also adding to the sweetness but the taste is not very apparent. And if you love honey-sesame seed snacks, these cookies will be your new favorites!
This recipe yields: fluffy, chewy and light pancakes which can be tough to accomplish in a grain-free ingredient list. The marriage of tigernut flour + almond meal and beaten egg whites are to thank! Topped with only nut or seed butter and fresh or frozen berries which means no added sugar or syrup at all, A.K.A: you win breakfast.
Let’s talk bone broth. Is this just another health or food trend? NO! This is here to stay and I’m so happy it is. This is an old old old remedy, there’s really nothing new about it. If your Grandmother used to make you broth or chicken soup when you were sick – you know what I’m talking about. The benefits are truly amazing and if it’s one new thing you try, I’m going to have to say this should be it unless you’re a vegetarian.
These little bites came about when I was cooking for a friend who just gave birth and wanted to give her a bunch of easy snacks and sides she could have for the week! I of course was looking to make everything as clean and easy to digest as possible given the amazing transformation her […]
Getting ready for Halloween? I am! And of course that entails whipping up something equally sweet and healthy.
Love, love love LENTILS! They’re so filling and delicious. I normally eat them in soup but I’ve been wanting to try them in more of a side since I will eat them any old way I can find them 🙂
OH Yes… apple season is in full swing and I’m loving it. I’m also loving my apple slicer which is such a time saver (and a finger saver too).
